WC Couture Show’s October event marks 15th anniversary

The Knot.com congratulates its trade show, the WeddingChannel Couture Show, in celebrating its 15th year as New York’s premier international bridal market venue October 16-18, at the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel.

The unique combination — connecting designers with retailers in one show and ultimately bridal consumers through online and print — is exactly what The Knot had in mind when it acquired the show in 2006. “Together, The Knot and WeddingChannel Couture Show are the leaders in helping bridal and wedding designers and manufacturers become successful throughout the business cycle from creation, to store, to bridal consumer,” according to Carley Roney, co-founder and editor in chief of The Knot, Inc.

-Strategies to Grow Your Business (especially during this recession!), a day-long bridal business seminar presented by Jim Butler, author of Bridal Profit Explosion, and owner of Arizona’s Bridal & Formal. Scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 19, the seminar runs from 8am to 5:30 pm, and will provide insights into the psychological triggers and advanced sales and persuasion techniques to close sales the first time; 15 top marketing strategies, and tips for avoiding the seven “huge mistakes” bridal stores are making today.
